I trust everyone is getting comfortable in their classes! I missed the whole month of September, imagine that. We must have been BUSY or somthing :)

October will bring a lot of exciting things to school! The arrival of Fall gives the kids a lot of fun things to talk about, colors to explore and changes to discover!
It also brings the cold weather so please remember to dress your child in layers and be prepaired for those rainy days.

Also, remember that your kids LOVE to run and things get slippery when they are wet and cold, it is really safest for them to wear tennis shoes to school.

Thank you to everyone who came and helped us set-up the new classroom! After a couple hours of fine-tuning tomorrow we should be just about good to go.

Next on the list is Open House on Aug 24th from 10am-2pm! We really need a boost in enrollment so if you know ANYONE who is interested in Co-op, please send them to our open house or have them contact Christie directly. You can give them email address or send them here to the blog too!

I am planning on another Farmers Market event on the 29th of Aug. Anyone wanting to join me would be greatly welcome as we again to boost enrollment and do a little of Fundraising!

And as for Fundraising..... Entertainment books HAVE BEEN ORDERED!!! We will be selling Entertainment books for our very first Fundraiser this year and they are on order to arrive the week of the 24th. Start asking around for anyone interested and getting your orders lined up!
We will be featuring them at the Farmers Market also!

Fundraising is going to be a VERY important project this year, the school budget has taken a few large hits due to loosing Pierce College and moving, as well as low enrollment. I am hoping that all of our members take Fundraising VERY seriously this year!

Important Dates!!!

Hello Families!!!!
We have some important school dates for you mark on your calendars.
A letter is being drafted as well, so keep an eye on your mailbox's (The USPS one's!!)

Mandatory Parent Orientation will be Sept 1st @ 6:30 pm. I know a few of you may have kids starting school the next morning and we will try to make it as quick and easy as possible. Please note that a representative from your family must attend orientation.

Green Class Slow-Start 1st day of school will be Sept.10th
Red/Yellow Slow-Start 1st day of school will be Sept. 11th
This means that parents will be joining us for school that day to run through what your day will be like as a working parent, essentially it is a Training session. All working members of your family will be required to have a training day with a Board Member before you are allowed to be put on the regular schedule.

Sept 14th. Will be the start of regular classes!

All of this information will be emailed and snail mailed to you soon, this is just a heads up.

Farmers Market

We have a booth at the Farmers Market @ Sunrise Village. (The new target shoppng center). This Saturday the 22nd. I am hopeful that by getting our name out there a little more, we will see a boost in registration. At the very least, its a great way to get out and re-introduce ourselves to the community!

Berean Baptist

Our new location at Berean Baptist is almost up and ready, we should be able to move in very soon. I haven't had much time to work here on the blog but I am hoping to have it updated more in the next few weeks also. I am trying to get some more up to date pictures on here and we can hopefully have it laid out so that you can get your school updates very easily.

Hi! My name is Virginia. Teaching has always been my passion. I had to give up being in the classroom to raise my two lovely children, my son who is now 11 years old and my daughter who is 6 years old.

Earning my Associate degree in Early Childhood from Pierce College has helped me enrich my craft as an educator and has brought back my self confidence and enthusiasm in molding young minds.

I have 10 years experience working with children. I was lead teacher in a child care center in Tacoma. Before moving to Washington State, I had the opportunity to be a lead teacher in a head start program in New York. Prior to migrating to the United States I taught for 7 years in the elementary grades in my home country, the Philippines. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Master's Degree in Eductional Administration from the University of the Philippines.

As a young child I had always wanted to be a teacher like my grandmother. I love teaching young children. I believe that teaching
is my talent and it is a GIFT to for me to share.
